The North woods of Minnesota is more than the pristine beauty of lakes, forests and eagles flying overhead. To me it’s Summer Camp! Swift Nature Camp is so much more than another home with another family.

Activities are everywhere at summer camp, there is so much to do. Here are just a few: Archery, Swimming, Fishing, Boating, Tubing, and Riflery. You are never bored and active all day long. The counselors help you get better regardless of that your skill level is. All activities are noncompetitive and so we all support each other, rather than worry who is best.

When I think of Swift, I think of trips. I’ll never forget the Superior Hiking Trail or going to Ely. What an adventure! I loved the trails, nature, and sights of the forest. It was fun getting to know the other persons that hike with you. The wildlife you see is extremely cool. We saw hawks, bald eagles, deer, ospreys, trout, and carp. This is why I love Summer Camp in Minnesota

Life in a cabin is about learning from others and with others. It is becoming a team of understanding. Sure, sometimes we had our fights or minor issues, but almost always they were resolved and we grew closer as a team for them.

I always loved the Nature Center. It is a great place to learn about Nature and the Environment. The Director is always fun and teaches us loads of cool things but its not at all like school. There are all sorts of animals that are fun to observe and hold. One day they even made me feel a little more comfortable when I was homesick.

I’m returning to Swift Nature Camp for all these reasons. I love camp and hope to be a Counselor in training when I’m sixteen and then a counselor when I’m eighteen. So, I’ll see yawl in the North woods of Minnesota this summer!

Yesterday I needed to use the facilities at Penn Station in New York. I try and avoid this joint, but sometimes nature rules. Luckily for me it wasn’t very busy, and I got in and out fairly quickly, with no muss or fuss.

You could picture my surprise when I checked my mail. Along with the list of emails in my inbox, there was a new one, which talked about an encounter in a men’s room somewhere in Miami. I didn’t think that Senator Craig would write to inform me that he is currently taking a wide stance.

I never have figured out that wide stance thing. What the email provides is a look into the mook brain.

I guess there have been many reports regarding assaults in men’s rooms. I have heard many of these stories before, and it seems that, history repeats itself. Anyone could be vulnerable to any attack, especially when sensitive parts of the body have been badly hit. Men especially.

Our hero had his thinking cap on when he went to use the head. As he walked in he saw three young guys hanging out, and had a gut feeling they were up to no good. So he walked over to the stall, faked an unzipping, and made a bunch of ooh and aah sounds.

The respond came in rather quickly. Two of the three guys moved towards him, in an attempt to bring our hero down. The third guy just stood at a door nearby. Our hero, of course, waited for the perfect moment to give them what they least expected. After pretending to do his business for a brief moment, our hero swiftly turned around, stepped on one of the mook’s shoes, and gave him what he deserved – an electric shock. The mook was eventually knocked down. The second mook soon suffered the same fate, too.

The third mook witnessed the failure of his two comrades. He saw them helplessly lying down. Perhaps, it gave him a hint that he should never fight against the guy who brought his two companions down. After a few clocks on the helpless mooks, our hero, then, went away.

The amazing gadget that had beaten the two mooks was a stun gun that could give out 900,000 volts of electric shock – brilliantly packed and reduced to a size as small as the cigarette pack. And it’s great for going after mooks in the bathroom.
