Pregnancy is the period of time from conception to birth when a woman carries a developing fetus in her uterus. Pregnancy is divided into three stages, or trimesters. Your first trimester is 0-13 weeks, your second trimester is week 14 to week 28, and your third trimester is week 29 to week 40. In each stage of your pregnancy you can expect to experience different symptoms.

If you feel you might be pregnant, take notice to your body. The moment you conceive you may become aware of subtle changes as sore breasts or swelling, symptoms which can also take place appropriately before your stage (which is a definite indication that you’re not pregnant!).

So, what are some other signs and symptoms of pregnancy? The most common and well recognized symptom of all is a Missed or Delayed Menstruation.

Thoughts of pregnancy run through every womans mind as soon as her period is late. But many woman experience irregular menstrual cycles, this is not always a definitive symptom.

Nausea and Vomiting, also known as morning sickness , can attack early and has to be extremely bothersome symptom of pregnancy. The extra weight of the stomach can affect Lower Back Pain. This is commonly prevalent in the later stages but can certainly happen in first pregnancy.

Heartburn, caused by the uterus pushing onto the stomach and creating digestive distress. About 6 to 8 weeks after conception, the stress on the bladder from the growing baby can cause Excessive Urination.
