My mom gets a mail order catalogue that has its share of gadgets, even though they are pretty far down the list.  You’d call these “toys” low tech. From gizmos that open those pesky aluminum can tabs, to back scratchers, to little balls that grab lint, to slippers that dust the floor as you walk, new inventions and conveniences abound in such catalogues with promises of making life easier and saving us time.

I must confess that I love checking out all the latest tools and toys for grown up girls and boys. It makes good bathroom reading. Oh, wait…am I allowed to bathroom online? Guess I just did. Twice.

My best friend has a son who is best friends with my own son. Her son is an avid fan of wrestling and I do not allow my own William to watch it at this point. I think that he is too young and that, even if it is entertainment, it is still too violent for a five year old.

Wrestling is all that Bracken talks about and I think that William feels a little bit left out. When Bracken showed William his new fight gear, he was so excited and William decided that if the clothes made Bracken so happy than he must really be missing out on something.

It has been really hard on him, as Bracken will not come out to play if Wrestling is on. It got to the point where I encouraged Will to go and make some new friends. It has definitely had a huge impact on my relationship with Katie, but I stand firmly by my decision that William cannot watch or participate in play about wrestling. There is already enough violence in the world without a five year old being subjected to it everyday, just for fun.

What I had not accounted for was the fact that my perfect little baby would suffer from colic. I will admit now, that there were many nights that I just wanted to give her back. I decided that I was going to have to do something about it if I was going to keep my sanity in check.

I decided that I would take my baby to a class where I could learn baby massage techniques. I had heard that this often helps a baby who is suffering from severe colic. It was a wonderful class and I think it really helped her a lot.

While I was working one day, I felt a shooting pain go up my arm. When it did not subside, I went to the emergency room. I found out that I had tennis elbow and that I was going to both have to take some time off work as well as go to physical therapy for my arm.

While it would be cool to be a leader, sometimes it pays to follow the well worn trail of someone who knows what they are doing.  Not only does this save time, but it means that I can skip all the testing phases and just focus on what works.

In fact, part of the success of this blog is due to the feed submission that I did a number of months ago – these post are picked up almost as soon as I write them.

Last year, my kids and I decided that we were going to have a big yard sale to get rid of the many things in our house that we no longer need or want or use anymore. The sale was a huge success and I asked my kids what we should do with the money. They both decided that they wanted a trampoline.

I am not a huge fan of trampolines. Maybe I am just overprotective, but I have heard way too many horror stories about kids getting hurt on them. I decided to see if I could find any bouncy castles for sale. I figured that these would be a whole lot safer and I would feel better about it.

I found one that was reasonably cheap and it even had obstacle courses in it. I figured it would be great because the kids could both bounce on it, like a trampoline, or they could play games like hide and seek in it.

I’m visiting Philadelphia in a couple of months and want to hire a reliable Philadelphia limousine service for the time that I’m there. I’ll be visiting salons and a few spas to do product training for my product line that they have decided to carry.

Rather than calling a cab each time I need a ride, I thought it would be fun to have a limo and driver right at my beck and call. I thought it also might cut down on wasted time waiting for cabs or trying to find one at the last minute.

I’m hoping it will look professional rather than pretentious also. Looking full of myself would not be the impression that I want to give off to new clients. While my line is not luxury, it is all about taking care of yourself so hopefully hiring a driver will fall in line with the concept.
