My wife recently bought a machine to help her sleep through my snoring.  I really do think it is one of the best purchases that she has ever made as it has not only helped her get a good sleep, but it has helped our relationship as well.

But I figured that the sound soother she bought could be used for other things as well.  I tried it out earlier today while taking a nap on the deck and I was unable to here all the usual city noises around me - it was a treat.

It wasn’t until the afternoon that I made the best discovery of all.  You see, I had sent the kids upstairs to play and they were fighting, yelling and screaming.  I find that I can take a little bit of that, but there comes a point where it just gets to be too much and you need to do something.

Instead of yelling up the stairs at them, I used my wife’s sound soother and I could barely hear their screaming anymore.  Let me tell you, I really do enjoy the silence.
