Many people consider immigrating to other countries to escape persecution, political instability, or for better opportunities for their family.  Quite a few families choose to come to Canada as their new home.

One of the biggest challenges these immigrants face is the Canadian Immigration interview.  It is a grueling process where the government determines whether or not the applicant would be a valuable addition to the population of the country.

Quite often, the potential immigrants get a citizenship practice test to prepare themselves for the tests to come.  These practice tests are a broad sample of the questions that are asked on the real test.  Sure, these questions don’t necessarily give you the right answers for the real test, but rather they are useful to give you the feel of what to expect when you are sitting down to write the test.

There is another area that many immigrants may feel a test is unwarranted: the Ontario G1 test.  This tests an immigrant’s driving skill and aptitude, which helps determine whether or not they are allowed to drive on Canadian roads.

Now, you might think that the number of tests (or hoops if you will) that these people that want to be immigrants need to go through is ridiculous, but in all honesty they are there for one reason: to ensure that they will be a good addition to the population of Canada.

So, I bought a mobile phone, and I rushed to get home to see what was in the box.  Guess what I found?  Just the phone, a charger, and the manual - that’s it.  Feeling a little disappointed, I jumped on the computer to find some accessories for my phone.

My first stop was at a mobile forum that I have spent a lot of time at: Interweb.in.  You see, that forum is where I read reviews on which phone to buy and learned some good tips there.  I figured that it would be a good place to start and I was right.

I found a post on the forum that said where I could get cheap gadgets - it was an India gadget website.

I checked out the site and was pleased to see that this gadget India site had accessories for my phone.  I quickly ordered a mobile charger, case and kit to hook the phone up to my laptop.  The price was ridiculously cheap - which I didn’t mind at all.

I just need to wait until the accessories show up - I know they will be worth the wait.

I needed to book a Tampa car rental and I couldn’t find the phone number for the company that had been given to me. My father was having surgery and I needed to go there and be with him, but I wanted to have everything, including the hotel booked and ready to go for me when I arrived.

I decided to do an online search for car rentals Tampa and see if I could find the number for the company that had been recommended by dad’s girlfriend. I could not get picked up at the airport, as I would land right while dad was in surgery and everyone would already be at the hospital.

I found the company for the car rental Tampa that I had been looking for and booked a car for a week. When I arrived, the car was waiting for me right at the front doors. I give this company a big kudos for their service.

I am wondering what is up with all of the car covers I have seen lately. I mean, why have people all of a sudden decided that their cars need to be tucked in at night. Mine is completely happy being naked on the street. I think it is just another way for someone to make money off gullible people.

I decided to ask around and I found that, in my area, it all started with Budge truck covers. One person got one and then it was like a chain reaction. Everyone had to keep up with Mr. Jones and get one for themselves. I live in a very crazy world.

I remember when the first SUV came into town. Not even a month later, it seemed like everyone had one. Hmm, maybe I should get into the business of selling Budge SUV covers. I could make a killing around here.

My mom works at a property management company and she pretty much spends all day doing landlord tenant checks. She gets some real doozies, too. I mean, if you totally destroy someone’s house when you are renting from them, why on earth would you use them for a reference to rent a new place?

The funny thing is that my friend and I recently applied to rent an apartment from the same company that my mom works for. As it was the first time either of us has ever lived on our own, we had no choice but to use our parents as references on our applications.

I like to joke with mom about her coming across our application and having to check tenant references. We joke about how she would have to call herself and have to office phone on one ear and her cell phone on the other. We did get approved and are now settled. Thanks, mom!

My sister and I just arrived home from a European vacation. We had an awesome time and we still laugh about many of our traveling mishaps. Most had to do with transportation, but we survived. We had been told to always look for a cheap car hire if we wanted to do some sight seeing.

We asked about cheap car hire Spain while we were there and people looked at us like we were crazy. We finally gave up and went back to the hotel. While we were at dinner, we met some  Americans and told them our woes. Imagine how funny it was when we discovered that we had been walking around asking where to hire a cheap pig.

We moved on to Paris a few days later and we had much more luck finding a cheap car hire France. I guess our French is much better than our Spanish and we never did end up finding any cheap pigs for hire.

I was reading some financial articles the other day, as I am preparing to write some of my own and I wanted to get some examples of other people’s writing. I was pretty impressed with the knowledge of many of the authors and felt a little bit out of my league. But, I was determined to make the best of it.

I had received a Visa gift card for my birthday and I decided to use that money to help further my websites. It is a rather new venture for me and I am enjoying it immensely, and I was happy to have the extra money to use for advertising.

It has actually been a good year for me so far. My tax rate has gone down (I just didn’t make as much last year), so I have decided to use that extra money I am saving, to help promote my websites. As it is just a hobby for now, I do not have to use any out of pocket money. It is working well.

I am not one for plain and simple anything, so I was definitely not going to be one for plain and simple when it came to my phone. I was so excited to be the proud owner of an iPhone. The first week I had it, I downloaded so many iPhone ringtones that I thought I was crazy, but no, that is just me.

My friend has some really amazing Motorola ringtones and I was curious to see if I could find some cool ones for my own. I did not know that there were different ringtones for different cell phone brands, but, I learn something new everyday. And besides, I don’t want the same tones as she has anyway.

Since I am on a Cingular plan, I can also download Cingular ringtones, which are different than those that other phone companies have to offer. I am pretty proud of my new phone and even prouder of its incredible rings. Right now, I am playing the theme from Star Trek. Beam me up Scotty.

I am a website advisor for quite a few different people. It is a new thing for me, but as for creating and running websites has become one of my greatest hobbies, I thought I may as well help other people who are interested in starting, as I was a few years ago.

One of the big things that I push with my clients is keyword research. This is what will get you to the top of a search engine and it is one of the very best ways to promote your site.

Some of my clients have sites just for personal use and don’t care to promote it, but I offer them SEO services anyway. What they decide to do with the information is up to them, but I don’t think it hurts to promote something, even if it is not for business purposes.

I am also starting to offer article sites for my clients that would like to post articles that they have written, with links pointing towards their websites. This is new for me and some of my clients are learning right along with me, but it is more fun that way.

My aunt has the coolest job. She does store reviews and all of the store employees fear her. Isn’t that great? When she walks into a store, she is treated like royalty. She is really nice to everyone, but she is also really honest, which bothers a lot of people.

She also does undercover insurance reviews and that brings out the nasty in her a little bit. If people don’t know who she is, they sometimes do not treat her well, and in the end they pay for that dearly.

She told me to come down to the office one day, so she could give me an inside look at what she does. I had always been interested in doing the same thing, but the timing was bad, and to be honest, I don’t know if I have the personality to do what she does.

I am currently attending an online business academy, taking classes in office management. I told my aunt I was thankful that she was willing to get me in the door, but that I needed to finish my classes before I thought of trying for a new job. I will have to come up with other excuses when I graduate in the spring.
