I recently received an invitation in the mail for a day trading seminar in our area. Now the cost for this seminar was negligible (around $20) and is going to happen tomorrow afternoon.
Now you might ask me what is my interest in day trading education? Well, I am 29 and I would like to retire in the next ten years. I do have a portfolio of investments (both stocks and mutual funds) that have been earning about 10% per year, which is not enough to make my goal of retiring before 40.
Instead of whining about it, I have decided to do something about it. It was a coincidence that the invitation to the seminar came in the mail – I had been talking about it with a friend just the day before. From what I have read on day traders blogs, it really is not too hard, it just requires some dedication.
So, I am going to the seminar tomorrow with an open mind. I am hoping to come away with some day trading strategies from the seminar that will help me retire by 40.
